"Ehsas Program Is The Biggest Scam In The History Of Pakistan"

Coronavirus has now gripped the entire world, including Pakistan, the number of infected people in the country has exceeded 12,000 and the situation of lockdown to prevent the epidemic continues. ۔
To help the working class and poor families most affected by the lockdown, the PTI government has announced a grant of up to Rs 12,000 under the Ehsas program, which has also been disbursed. Journalist Saleem Safi has made a big claim in this regard.
Sending a message on Twitter, Saleem Safi shared two screenshots and wrote, “The Ehsas program is becoming the biggest scam in the history of Pakistan. Look at the injustice of the PTI that in the Chief Minister's Swat district, 99,000 beneficiaries have been shown and 82,500 have been paid, but in the South Waziristan district, only 18 people have been declared eligible, out of which only 3 have been paid.
According to documents released by Saleem Safi, a total of 18 victims were identified in South Waziristan, including two in Makin, five in Tiarza, one in Beer Mill, six in Sarokai and four in Wana. Only three of them have been paid.

At the message of Saleem Safi, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan Sania Nishtar came on the scene and replied, “These screens belong to Ehsas Emergency Cash Information Portal which has been published for transparency. Category-1 and Category-2 assistance in the 8171 scheme is being provided on the basis of the 2010 survey. The survey was not conducted in 2010 due to lack of law and order in North and South Waziristan.
She further said that the share of Waziristan in the 3 categories of Ehsas Emergency Cash is in terms of population. Under the 8171 scheme, 61,164 SMS have been received from North Waziristan and 62,499 from South Waziristan. The investigation is ongoing.
She said that for 3 Category, all the provinces, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir have been allotted in terms of population and the beneficiaries are being identified through NADRA's Data Analytics.
Remittances in Category-3 will start next week. There is no way for political interference and nepotism in Ehsas Emergency Cash. Transparency is our top priority in this social security program.
